Lost or Damaged Books
Patrons should report damage to library materials as soon as they notice the damage. This will allow the librarian the chance to get the book repaired. If the book is beyond repair the patron must pay to replace the book.
The total cost for each lost or damaged item will the replacement cost of the item. Upon payment, a receipt will be given to the patron. If a lost book is found and returned, the patron will be refunded the payment made. Payments will be made to a member of the library staff by cash, check, or money order made out to Monocacy Valley Montessori School. Once the item is paid for, the patron’s record will be cleared.
